Domain
What is a domain name?
A domain name is an address, or location, which gives you unique identity and brand on the Internet. Each domain has its own unique IP address, which is used to provide access to those files on the Web, as well as to provide virtual mailboxes, virtual FTP, and other services. Users can enter this address in their web browser (like Internet Explorer or Netscape) to directly access your web site.
Eg. Http://www.ABC.com
How can I get a good domain name for my site?
You can search the domain names in domain name search and expired domain name search. Refer the links in Resources section of the website.
Prepare the key words for the business and suggest a suitable name based on it. Search those in the domain search engines. If they are already occupied find some alternatives/ thesaurus. Refer the links in Resources section of the website.
Try and think of domain names associated with current or future growth areas, Think of domain names that specifically relate to your industry or line of business. A good way to brainstorm is to sit down with a clean piece of paper, let your mind wander, and write down every idea you get ..
Can I "point" more than one domain name at my site?
If you already have at least one Virtual or Vanity Domain attached to your account, you may choose to “park” additional domains, so that it can be reached via several different domain names. Parked domains do not have their own unique IP addresses; instead, they use the IP address of an existing domain on your account.
You can point more than one domain to your website. You can do it through two ways. First, you can forward all your other domains to the main/primary domain which is associated with the website.
Second, you can point all your domain’ nameservers OR A records to the server whom you want to point it and then park all your domain there in the hosting account of your main/primary domain. For this check our tutorial section.
E.g.: mydomain.org and mydomain.net can be parked on the virtual domain name mydomain.com. You can manage e-mail delivery as normal for those domains, but they will always display the same Web site as mydomain.com
Will I own the domain name after registration?
No, You own the right to use the name for a defined period of time. You will have to pay a renewal fee after your initial registration period expires, or face losing control of the domain name. You do not automatically have the right to keep the name forever, although in practice as long as you keep on paying for the name and it does not infringe on somebody’s trademark or service mark, it is essentially yours to do what you want with it.
Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the www?
Yes, all clients can access their website with and without the “www”. In other words, you can access your website at www.yourdomain.com or just yourdomain.com, both of which are the same website. While this may seem somewhat unimportant, many would be surprised at how many people exclude the “www” and how many providers do not provide this service. Offering both options ensure you do not lose any visitors to your website as a result of this example of a common mistake.

Do you offer unlimited bandwidth?
No, it is not possible to offer unlimited bandwidth at all. That would be lying to our customers. Like everybody else, we are required to pay for the amount of bandwidth we consume to our upstream providers. We then in turn pass this fee to our customers in order to provide enough resources to our customers. This also applies to other hosts as well, not just us.
How can I calculate how much bandwidth I need for my site?
Here is a formula to calculate an estimate on the amount of bandwidth you will need:
Total Bandwidth/Month = Number of pages X .05 MB X Number of Visitors/Month
Note: This formula is based on the notion that each visitor will visit all the pages once. That is not likely to be the case, but the formula should work. Some visitors may view 1/3 of your site, while others may view your site twice. It all averages out.
How can I upgrade my hosting package?
Kindly contact our support team, they will help you to upgrade hosting packages
How much space and bandwidth will I need?
For a small site with not so much traffic, not so much. Your needs in this case can be met with 10 to 100 MB of disk space and 1 to 10 GB of data transfer per month. (Be aware that movie and sound files will eat up a lot of disk space and bandwidth.) If your web site is text-based, you needn’t worry about this technical stuff – text takes almost no space at all – not even really big font sizes!
If you’re planning to sell something online, look for a provider who can provide you with a commercial web solution such as Shopping Cart software or a secure online payment system. Choosing a large web space with a high bandwidth allowance is a good idea in this case.
In this category, 50 MB of disk space or more is advisable. Bandwidth allowance really depends on how many visitors you’re expecting and how well you promote your web site. For most sites, 5 to 30 GB should suffice.
If I buy a hosting plan now can I upgrade when my website grows? Is there any charge?
Yes, you can upgrade at any point. Just contact our support team, we will upgrade your account within hours.
